We are two over-worked and under-paid moms of 3 children each! So just to
add another dimension to our already hectic lives we decided to form Potters' Lane Studio. Seriously however, this was our way to combine following our dreams of owning a business, creating a way to spend quality time with our children and opening up the opportunity for others to spend time together
with their friends and family.

Having both relocated to the Lehigh Valley from Europe in 2005, (Amy returned to the area after spending 4 years in England and Sarah, originally from England had spent 12 years in Germany before being relocated to the USA), we soon identified a need for some creative outlet in this continuously growing neighborhood - something that would attract people of all ages and all levels of artistry! Something fun, something relaxing, something that would bring people together.

We have both spent hours and hours with our children cutting, pasting, drawing but most of all painting...and have enjoyed this creative time just as much as they have. Above all this was one part of the day where we could sit down together in a relaxed environment, chat away and enjoy the moment. Having visited various Pottery Painting outlets in US and England the interest developed into a major project of learning everything about owning our own contemporary pottery studio. We are no artisans! Amy has a commercial and marketing background. Sarah has a degree in Business Studies and is also a qualified ESL teacher. So you don't need to be a Picasso to see your creative skills quickly emerge. You’ll be amazed by the results you get whatever your age. We simply have a love and need for quality time with family and friends. And a few moments alone!

So with support from the Small Business Unit at Lehigh University and our wonderful husbands (had to give them a mention as it's their cash we're using!)... We are now ready to bring color to your creativity!
